Madison Ave. Bridge Over I-69 Closes March 21

Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractors plan to close Madison Avenue/Madison County Road 100 West to rebuild the bridge over Interstate 69 beginning on or after Monday, March 21.

A signed detour will direct Madison Avenue/Madison County Road 100 West traffic around construction and over the interstate via Alliance Road, Main Street and 60th Street.

Some overnight traffic restrictions should be expected on I-69 during construction.  Specific restrictions and dates will be announced as work progresses.  Dynamic message signs will be used to communicate restrictions to motorists.

A newly rebuilt bridge is expected to open to traffic before Labor Day of 2016.  Milestone's $1.9 million bid was the lowest of nine contractors competing for the project.
