INDOT Awards $9.4 Million for Pavement Projects in Wayne County

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has awarded two contracts totaling $9.4 million to Milestone Contractors for paving projects in Wayne County.

Milestone will make pavement repairs and pave a new asphalt surface on US 40 between 11th Street and I-70 on Richmond’s east side and on Interstate 70 between US 27/Chester Boulevard (Exit 151) and the Ohio state line.

In addition, Milestone will continue a $9.5 million contract started last year to repair and resurface pavement on I-70 between State Road 1 (Exit 137) and Centerville Road (Exit 145).

Construction will begin this spring – pending favorable weather.  All three projects are expected to be complete this summer.  Specific details about work schedules and traffic restrictions will be announced in the near future.
