Project NextDOR Rollout 2 Launches Sept. 8th

Are you ready for September 8? September 8 is not a date you usually mark on your calendar, but it’s a busy day for DOR. What makes this date so special? It’s the kick-off date of our second rollout of the four-part Project NextDOR tax system modernization project. This means business customers will begin registering for and utilizing DOR’s new e-services portal, the Indiana Taxpayer Information Management Engine (INTIME) for tax filing, payment and processing on this date. Tax types included in the second rollout include: Consumer Use County Admissions County Innkeeper’s Food and Beverage Heavy Equipment Rental Indianapolis Motor Speedway Motor Vehicle Rental Excise Out-of-State Use Sales Tire Fee Utility Services Use Tax Wireless Prepaid Cards Withholding The graph below illustrates the tax types included in the second rollout and what new functionalities INTIME offers customers.(Click on the graphic to see a larger version)

What does this mean for existing business customers, new customers and practitioners?

Existing business customers who are currently filing Rollout 2 taxes via INtax will begin migrating their accounts to INTIME starting September 8. INTIME is DOR’s new easy-to-use e-portal that allows all businesses to continue to manage their tax accounts online efficiently and securely.

New business customers who register with the Indiana Secretary of State through INBiz will receive a Letter ID via email from DOR with instructions on how to register for INTIME.

Practitioners will be able to register with INTIME and import client lists from INtax starting September 8. New clients will be added in INTIME starting on September 8 as well. Moving to INTIME as soon as possible after rollout two will allow practitioners to benefit from the many new system features, including the flexibility to control access to client accounts. To take advantage of these new features, practitioners will need to appoint one designated individual to control client access for their organization.

Important Note: Business customers will not be able to register until September 8, attempting to register now may complicate the registration process when available. Please do not attempt to register early.
