The window to submit the Estimated Cost Report for Summer School 2024 is open until Monday, April 1. Choice Scholarship Program

School Year 2023-2024 Final Award Amounts

The final award amounts for the 2023-2024 school year have been posted in the Non-Public School Community in Moodle within the Choice Scholarship Program Documents > 2023-2024 Documents folder. Both period 1 and period 2 lists are posted. Schools will be notified when the applications have been updated with final award amounts in the STN Application Center. At that time, the final award letters should be downloaded and one copy kept in the students’ Choice files and one copy given to the parent/guardian of the Choice students. The final award letters will not be available after the student application opens for the 2024-2025 school year on Friday, March 1.


Choice School Applications

The window to apply to participate in the Choice Scholarship Program for the 2024-2025 school year is open. Schools are required to apply for each year they wish to participate, even if they participated in prior years. The application materials are posted on the Choice Scholarship Program website and in the Non-Public School Community in Moodle. The deadline to apply for the 2024-2025 Choice Scholarship Program is Sunday, September 1.


Choice Student Applications

Schools that have been approved to participate in the 2024-2025 Choice Scholarship Program may begin submitting student Choice applications on Friday, March 1. The deadline to submit student applications for period 1 of the 2024-2025 school year is Sunday, September 1.


School Year 2024-2025 Income Guidelines

The income amounts to qualify for a Choice Scholarship for the 2024-2025 school year have been posted in the Non-Public School Community in Moodle. The Choice Scholarship Eligibility document can also be found posted in Choice Scholarship Program Documents, in the folder for 2024-2025.

Choice Income Guidelines

Enrollment

All students enrolled in your school should have enrollment reported in Data Exchange. If a student is withdrawn, an exit date is required to be reported. Do not delete the enrollment record. Entry and exit dates must be reported within five days of the student’s enrollment or withdrawal. If a student has missed 20 consecutive school days, the last day the student attended should be reported as their exit date. All entry and exit dates should be dates that are reported as instructional days on your school calendar.


Endorsement Forms

The Endorsement Forms for period 2 Choice Scholarship students can be downloaded through Monday, March 4. A signed Endorsement Form must be uploaded to the STN Application Center before the submission window closes on Monday, March 4, for all period 2 Choice Scholarship students.


Communication

If there are any changes in school personnel, complete a Choice Contacts Form. The form can be found in the Choice Scholarship Program Documents in the Non-Public School Community in Moodle. When sending email, please be sure to identify your school number in the subject line. As a reminder, when emailing regarding a student, comply with FERPA requirements by ensuring that the student name and their STN do not appear in the same message.

The new DEX 2.0 will be rolled out on Monday, March 4. DEX 2.0 Utilization and Navigation Sessions will be held on the dates and times shown here. The list is linked, click on your preferred date at the scheduled time to attend the session.


Performance Based Accreditation

The submission window for non-public schools to submit a petition for performance-based (state) accreditation is open through Tuesday, April 30. The petition may be found here. Contact School Accountability with questions.
