Indiana STEM Educator Expansion Program (I-STEM) Registration Now Available
IDOE is pleased to announce a new partnership with Educational Service Centers of Indiana (ESCI) to strengthen Indiana’s STEM educator pipeline. The I-STEM partnership provides support for both currently licensed teachers in non-STEM areas, and prospective teachers who are not licensed and hold a bachelor’s degree, to become licensed to teach in a STEM content area. IDOE has identified eligible STEM content areas as life science, chemistry, earth/space science, physics, physical science, computer science, technology education, and mathematics. Indiana Academic Standards Resources Available in the Indiana Learning Lab
Vertical articulation guides for English/Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics are now available in the Indiana Learning Lab. These resources provide an overview of the progression of the updated K-12 Indiana Academic Standards. Correlation guides for ELA, Mathematics, and Computer Science to help educators cross reference the 2020 and 2023 standards will become available soon. ILEARN & IREAD-3 Practice Tests Now Available
Practice tests are now available in the Test Delivery System (TDS) for IREAD-3 and ILEARN assessments, which must be administered to students prior to participating in the operational online assessment. All practice test scripts are available by grade level on the Indiana Assessment Portal:

ILEARN Test Administrator’s Manual (TAM) Now Available
The 2023-2024 ILEARN TAM is now available on the Indiana Assessment Portal for ILEARN 3-8, Biology, and U.S. Government assessments to support responsibilities before, during, and after testing. Significant updates were made (e.g., scheduling and timing guidance), and this manual combines previously separated TAMs and Test Coordinator’s Manuals (TCMs) into one resource. WIDA Accommodations Training & Test Administrator Essentials
Test Administrators (TAs) who will administer WIDA ACCESS assessments to English learners (ELs) with accommodations must view the WIDA Accommodations Overview Training video prior to test administration. The 2023-2024 Test Administrator Essentials resource contains information to help TAs in addition to the Test Administrator Manual prepare for WIDA ACCESS testing. Transitions 101 Webinar on Wednesday, December 6
Join IDOE, the Office of Early Childhood and Out-of-School Learning (OECOSL), and the Indiana Head Start Association for a session to explore the basics of smooth transitions for children and families on Wednesday, December 6, from noon to 1:30 p.m. ET. IDOE will address how the Early Learning Standards help prepare children for kindergarten and talk about what readiness looks like for children, providers, and families. Nextech, in partnership with IDOE and the Computer Science Teacher Association (CSTA), is proud to announce the application window for Indiana CSPDWeek is now open. All Indiana K-12 educators teaching computer science content during the 2023-2024 school year are invited to apply for a spot to participate in intensive PD from June 10-14, 2024.
