Application for Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 Indirect Cost Rates
The window to submit an application for FY 2024 Indirect Cost Rates closes on Monday, May 1. School corporations and charter schools that provided Form 9 financial information for FY 2022 are eligible to apply for a restricted and an unrestricted rate for FY 2024. New charter schools are eligible to apply but will be subject to the median rate. The following memo includes the application instructions. Please direct any questions to icr@doe.in.gov.

The dates and locations of the next round of Choice regional meetings can be found below. Click on your preferred date to register. Registration will remain open through noon on the day before each meeting. All meetings will be from 9 to 11 a.m. local time.

Choice School Application
Schools that wish to participate in the 2023-2024 Choice Scholarship Program may submit applications through Friday, September 1. Application information is posted on IDOE’s School Scholarships webpage and in the Non-Public School Community in Moodle.
Choice Student Application
Schools that have received IDOE approval to participate in the 2023-2024 Choice Scholarship Program may submit student applications through Friday, September 1. Please be conscientious in entering student information. Schools can use the School Choice Scholarship Report, found in the STN Application Center, to review submitted information.
- If you receive the message that an SE/SV Record is not found for students indicating “yes” for IEP, please continue to save/submit the application. The application will go to pending status and will be reviewed by a specialist to determine special education eligibility. The application will be approved, or a denial letter will be sent, depending on the results.
- If you receive the message that the Reference ID does not match the STN provided when selecting option 1 for income eligibility, send the STN and Reference ID to ChoiceSchool@doe.in.gov. A specialist will review the information and let you know if the Reference ID can be used for the application.
- As a reminder, P.O. Boxes cannot be used as student addresses. A residential address must be reported.
School and Corporation Profile Amendment Window
The school and corporation profile amendment window for the 2023-2024 school year is now open through Thursday, August 31. In order to ensure IDOE maintains accurate information, all schools and corporations must provide notice when changes are made that affect school openings, closures, and reconfigurations. Information on the submission process can be found here. Contact IDOE's Office of Accountability with any questions.
Schools that have changes in grade configurations will not be able to access those grade levels in the student Choice application until the profile amendment has been approved through the Office of Accountability.
Instructional Time
Please check the number of instructional days for your school, found in the Data Exchange Validation Portal under July 2023 Certification, and confirm that it is correct. We have noticed quite a few schools that are showing fall, winter, and spring break as instructional time. If you need a list of the days currently showing for your school, please email schoolaccountability@doe.in.gov.
