Hello Superintendents and Principals,
This week, the Indiana Department of Education released the latest iteration of Indiana GPS, allowing local school leaders to easily view your student-level data used to calculate each indicator.
To access this data, you must have either the Superintendent or Principal role assigned in the LINK Portal. As a reminder, each school should only have one designated Superintendent and Principal in the LINK Portal. You may also delegate access to your team by ensuring your local security coordinator has appropriately assigned one of the following roles: Assistant Superintendent, Assistant Principal, LEA Administrator, or School Administrator.
There are two ways to access this student-level data:
1. Via Indiana GPS:
- Use the Search bar located in the top right corner of the state infographic page to navigate to your district and/or school landing page.
- Scroll down to the accordion view, and click to expand the accordion for one of the following indicators: 3rd Grade Literacy, 6th Grade Math Growth, Advanced Coursework Prior to Grade 9, Attendance, College and Career Coursework, Diploma Strength, Graduation Pathways Completion, ILEARN, and SAT Performance. Note: Student-level data is not currently available for any indicators for which IDOE is not the primary data source.
- In the bottom right corner of the expanded accordion, select “Full Report” to view the drill down page – including longitudinal and disaggregated data – for that particular indicator.
- Once the drill-down page has loaded to show the full report, in the top right corner, you will see "Student data (school personnel only)." Click here to be redirected to the LINK Portal.
- Sign in to the LINK Portal using your individual user information.
- Once you have successfully signed in, you will be able to view your district and/or school’s student-level data for that particular indicator.
