Financial Transparency Portal
Please remember to upload your school corporation’s July to December 2022 financial transparency data through the financial transparency portal. The portal may be accessed from the Form 9 dashboard. A presentation is available in Moodle Finance with additional guidance.
February Membership Count Date
The spring membership count date of pupils enrolled in each school corporation and charter school is Wednesday, February 1. IDOE will use membership data to determine January to June 2023 Basic Grant distributions. Please refer to IDOE’s Data Exchange webpage for additional guidance concerning membership for enrollment and membership for adult learners.
Summer School Estimates
The window for each school corporation and charter school to submit the Estimated Cost Report for Summer School 2023 will open on Wednesday, February 1. Please read this memo and frequently asked questions (FAQ) document for information regarding eligible courses, important dates, and financial provisions. Detailed information about the summer school program and how to report is included in this presentation. If you have questions, please contact Teresa Hemmerle or Joe Engelstad.
Form 9 Financial Data Submission
Tuesday, January 31, is the deadline for each school corporation and charter school to submit Form 9 financial data for the period of July to December 2022. The Form 9 application can be accessed via the LINK Portal. Once in the portal, the financial administrator will navigate to the “Form 9 Financial Data” tile. Please review our Form 9 Overview for guidance. Additional guidance can be found in the Public School Finance Community on Moodle.
Full-time Teacher Benefit Survey
Please read this memo regarding collection of full-time teacher benefit data. Data must be received by school corporations no later than Friday, February 17, in order to be included in the fiscal year 2023 Full-Time Teacher Salary and Benefits Report. Contact schoolfinance@doe.in.gov with any questions.
Membership for Vouchers
All Choice Scholarship students should be reported for membership in student data for February certification. The Census Date for period two membership is Wednesday, February 1. Schools should review validation results of student data currently reported and correct any errors. As a reminder, both period one Choice application students and period two Choice application students should be reported for membership and have enrollment records.
Endorsement Forms, Period Two
Students with period two Choice applications are required to have endorsement forms signed and uploaded to the STN Application Center between Thursday, February 9, and Friday, March 3. The endorsement form upload will be available only for those students with period two Choice applications reported in membership for funding. Students reported for attendance only will not be included.
2022-2023 Final Award Amounts
The final award amounts for period one and two Choice Scholarships are anticipated to be available soon. Once they are finalized and available, schools will be notified to download final award letters from the STN Application Center for 2022-2023 Choice Scholarship students.
2023-2024 Choice School Application
All schools wishing to participate in the Choice Scholarship Program for the 2023-2024 school year must complete the application process, even if they have participated in prior years. Information about submitting the school application is included in the Choice School Application Memo and Packet. These materials are also available on IDOE’s Indiana Choice Scholarship Program webpage and in the Non-Public School Community in Moodle.
The 2023-2024 Choice Scholarship Program income guidelines are anticipated soon. Once available, this information will be shared via the School Finance Monthly Newsletter and posted in the Non-Public School Community in Moodle. The 2023-2024 estimated award amounts will be posted similarly as soon as they are available.

IDOE will host a series of Regional Meetings in February to provide information regarding the school application process and student applications for the 2023-2024 school year. See the calendar below for dates, times, locations, and how to register! Attendance is not mandatory.
