Now is the Time to Register for Title Con 20/20

 

Registration for Title Con 20/20 is open, and spaces are quickly filling up. To date, more than half of the available spots have been reserved. This year, all registration will be completed online via EventBrite. You may request a maximum of five registrations at a time. Once registered, you will receive an e-mail confirmation with your ticket. If you have any questions, please contact your Federal Grants Specialist.

Winter 2020 ILEARN Biology ECA: Additional Order (AO) Window Opens Monday

Students completing the high school biology course at second trimester should participate in the Winter 2020 Biology ECA, scheduled for next month. There is no initial order process for this window. CTCs must place requests for any paper tests in AIR’s Test Information Distribution Engine (TIDE) via the AO window, which opens Monday, January 27. Please contact the AIR Indiana Helpdesk with any questions.

Spring 2020 ILEARN 3-8 and ECAs: Initial and AO Windows

Schools and corporations must report student accommodations via the Indiana IEP (IIEP) and/or DOE-TA by next Thursday, January 30 to receive an initial shipment of regular and large print assessment books. Orders for regular and large print assessment books can also be placed during the appropriate AO window. ALL braille and Spanish assessment books must be ordered in TIDE during the appropriate AO window. Please contact the AIR Indiana Helpdesk with any questions.

Spring 2020 ILEARN Indiana Educator Scoring Opportunity: Application Window Open through March 16

Indiana educators interested in scoring open-ended ILEARN 3-8 and ECA items may now apply through March 16. This updated flyer includes links to the online application and the new Indiana Educator Scoring Frequently Asked Questions. Please contact the AIR Indiana Helpdesk with any questions.

ISPROUT Reports Webinars

IDOE and Johns Hopkins University Center for Technology in Education will be hosting two webinars to provide information on reporting options within the ISPROUT dashboard including new tools coming soon. They will be held on February 18 from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. and February 19 from 11 a.m. to noon. To register, click on the date you would like to attend. A recording will be made available following the sessions. Questions can be communicated by email to Felecia Jordan or by calling her at 317-232-9038.

Share with Educators! Braille Accommodations for I AM Must be Noted in Indiana IEP (IIEP) by January 30

All I AM braille accommodations must be noted in IIEP no later than January 30 for students to receive braille forms for the 2020 administration of I AM. IDOE will be unable to fulfill requests for braille after January 30, as these accommodated forms are only created on an as-needed basis. Questions about braille accommodations can be emailed to Stephanie Thompson or by calling her at 317-234-5601.

Managing Your Graduation Rate: Installment Three: Tasks for Managing Your Graduation Rate

Ensuring the accuracy of the graduation rate takes a significant amount of work and communication by many individuals working in Indiana high schools. Registrars, school counselors, principals, and data personnel must work together for the best results to occur. This installment of “Managing Your Graduation Rate” outlines steps considered to be the bare minimum “cohort to-do list,” so issues can be found and corrected early. Read the article here.

Summer School Estimates

The window to submit the Estimated Instructional Costs Report and List of Courses for Summer School 2020 will open on February 5. Please see this memo for information regarding eligible courses, important dates, and financial provisions. February 3 Membership Count

The second membership count date for the 2019-2020 school year is February 3. This is a required count for all public school corporations and charter schools. The data will be used to calculate January to June Basic Grant funds. Specific information regarding the layout can be found here. The Indiana Purple Star School Designation

The Indiana Purple Star School Designation honors schools that have displayed a significant commitment to service members, veterans, and students and families connected to our Nation’s Military. Indiana Digital Learning Month 2020 offers many opportunities throughout February to learn about strengthening student learning experiences with the effective use of technology in instructional practices. 2020 Indiana Summit on Out-of-School Learning

The Indiana Summit on Out-of-School Learning is Indiana’s premier conference designed exclusively for out-of-school time program providers. More than 600 participants from youth programs, schools, and community partners will learn new ideas, access valuable resources, and transform learning beyond the school day. The April 14-15 event will take place at the Indiana Convention Center, and is hosted by the Indiana Afterschool Network and IDOE.
