Dear Food Service Contact,
This email provides news for schools concerning the Child Nutrition Programs from the USDA and the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE). If you are the food service contact for your school or corporation, it is your responsibility to relay important information provided to you about the Child Nutrition Programs to other staff members.

- Direct Certification (DC) is accessible and operating without any issues in the STN Application Center .

CNPweb Program Year (PY) 2020 Update
- PY 2020 is now accessible and error-free in the CNPweb.
- In order to begin claiming reimbursement for PY 2020, Sponsor and Site Information Sheets must be completed and approved.
- Sponsors will have to submit offline forms to our office.
- To identify the documents that must be completed and submitted, view the Packet tab in the CNPweb after the Sponsor and Site Information Sheets have been completed. Anything with an asterisk (*) will indicate the forms that need to be submitted.
- All sponsors who process free and reduced applications will need to submit an updated Free and Reduced Price Policy Statement signed by the executive contact (i.e. superintendent, business official, treasurer). Scan and email the signed policy statement to Tyler Brewer at tbrewer2@doe.in.gov.
- All sponsors will need to submit a Permanent Agreement Addendum signed by the executive contact. Scan and email the signed addendum to Tyler Brewer at tbrewer2@doe.in.gov.
- All sponsors will need to submit an updated Procurement Plan. Check out the Procurement Resource website to find the procurement plan template and checklist. Submit your plan to Cindy Harris at charris@doe.in.gov.
- All sponsors charging for meals need to submit a PLE Tool completed with the current year’s pricing information. Submit the PLE Tool to SCNFinance@doe.in.gov.
- New items have been added to the Sponsor and Site Information Sheets.
- On the Sponsor Information Sheet:
- If the food service contact is not the food service director, sponsors will need to add the food service director's contact information in #55-62 or indicate where the food service director's contact information has been reported in #63.
- If using a Free and Reduced software system, sponsors will report the contact of the software company in questions #91-96.
- All sponsors, whether they are audited by the Indiana State Board of Accounts or not, must complete the additional auditing information on the sponsor information sheet, #120-125.
- Based on those responses, sponsors might also need to complete #126-138.
- On the Site Information Sheet:
- Serving times are now required for lunch (#81-82) and breakfast (#93-94).
- The time that the After School Snack Program ends needs to be reported in #117.
- Don't see a button to submit applications for state approval? Make sure your Sponsor and Site Information Sheets are submitted, and if any offline form has an asterisk, make sure the dates that the documents were submitted are entered on the Packet tab.
