New! Three-Year Review Process for Students with No Mode of Communication

IDOE developed a systematic review for students identified as having No Mode of Communication during the 2016-2017 school year. This three-year review process is outlined here. Year three concludes with the 2019 administration of I AM. Corporations should expect communication from IDOE regarding the findings of this review in late July 2019. Please contact Stephanie Thompson with any questions about this process.

ILEARN Rescore Request Process Resources and Information Available

As of Monday, July 1, CTCs, NPSTCs, or STCs should follow directions in the updated TIDE User Guide to designate the new “Principal” user role. Principal users can access scoring information related to students’ open-ended items during the ILEARN rescore request process (July 15-31). Principals should review this brief training module that illustrates the mechanics of requesting item rescores. Parents and legal guardians must sign this non-disclosure statement before reviewing secure test materials. Schools must maintain locally any signed statements from this summer’s rescore request window. All three resources are posted in the Indiana Assessment Portal.

ILEARN Rescore Requests for Students Moving Between Schools

A school’s ability to access a student’s item-level scores is determined by the student’s current enrollment status as reported via the DOE-RT collection. Generally, the school that tested the student has access to the student’s item-level data during the rescore request window and can submit rescore requests on behalf of the parent, as appropriate. However, it is possible for another school to indicate a newly enrolled student via the DOE-RT collection before or during the rescore request window, in which case the new school would facilitate any rescore requests.

Contact the AIR Help Desk via email or by calling 866-298-4256 with questions about requesting rescores in TIDE. Contact the Office of School Assessment with any policy-related questions.

IREAD-3 Last Day to Order July 5

Today, July 5, is the last day for schools to order additional IREAD-3 Summer materials for students requiring paper materials as an accommodation. Contact the AIR Help Desk via email or by calling 866-298-4256.

IREAD-3 Last Day to Return Materials

Paper books and all other material must be returned for scoring by July 19. Return shipping directions were included in your box with the initial delivery. Please follow those instructions promptly so the scoring process can begin. Books shipped or postmarked after July 19 will not be scored.
