State STEM Project-Based Learning Training

In 2018, the Indiana Department of Education launched its Six-Year STEM Strategic Plan. Strategic Objective One centers on improving STEM instruction with a goal of 100 percent of Indiana K-12 teachers being trained in project-based approaches to learning by 2025. Our first step in meeting this goal is to identify and train at least 300 K-12 certified staff members over a three-year period to become Ford Next Generation Learning (NGL) STEM Project-Based Learning (PBL) trainers using STEM-based content. The first cohort of 100 certified staff members will be selected and begin training this summer.

You are invited to nominate up to two certified staff members to participate in our first cohort of certified Ford NGL STEM PBL trainers. This training begins this July and continues through Summer 2020. Please nominate up to two certified staff members (preferably one elementary and one secondary) using this nomination form by Friday, June 7. Nomination does not guarantee selection. Additional information can be found here. Please contact Ben Carter with questions.
