Weekly School Nutrition Newsletter

10/24/2018

Dear Food Service Contact,

This email provides news for schools concerning the Child Nutrition Programs from USDA and the state. If you are the food service contact for your school or corporation, it is your responsibility to relay important information provided to you about the Child Nutrition Programs to other staff members.

State Match

  • All sponsors that claimed paid meals in the previous school year have received State Revenue Matching, commonly referred to as State Match.
  • If you would like to divide your payment by school, there is an easy way to determine how much each school should receive:
    • First, log into CNPweb. Select the purple puzzle piece. Scroll to the bottom of the message screen and click Continue, then select program year 2018 (not 2019).
    • Select Reports in the upper left hand corner of the screen.
    • Then select Data File Export.
    • Scroll down and click on NSLP - State Match Allocator by School.
    • You will then be prompted to open a spreadsheet at the bottom of the screen. At this point, you will see how much money each school can be allocated. In rare instances, the sum of the school amounts may be off by a penny or two because of rounding.
  • If you have questions, please contact Allie Caito-Sipe at acaito@doe.in.gov or 317-232-0849

Verification Summary Report Reminders

  • Sponsors will be able to access the Verification Summary Report once their Annual Financial Report and October claim have been approved.
  • Locate the Verification Summary Report in the CNPweb, under the Claims/AFR tab in Program Year 2019.
  • The report is due Saturday, December 15.
  • In-depth directions are currently being updated and will be posted on this page by Thursday, November 1.
  • Don't forget! We will be conducting webinars on the Verification Summary Report on Wednesday, October 24 (TODAY!) and again on Tuesday, October 30.
    • To register, click here.
  • Questions about the Verification Summary Report? Contact your Field Specialist or Allie Caito-Sipe at acaito@doe.in.gov or 317-232-0849.
