Dear Educators:

Thank you for another great week in Indiana schools. We were excited to invite the seven Indiana elementary schools being recognized as 2017 Blue Ribbon Award winners to the Statehouse for a special recognition. During the event, we celebrated their accomplishments before they head to Washington DC for the national recognition ceremony later this month. You can view photos from the event here. Again, thank for your work and continued dedication to Indiana students.

Sincerely,
Dr. Jennifer McCormick
State Superintendent of Public Instruction
Indiana Department of Education

Assessment
New ISTEP+ & IREAD-3 Student Transfer Request Process: The Department defined steps to streamline the transfer process of students who move between schools and corporations during testing windows. In an effort to help minimize undetermined test results, these steps will also support the process for schools, if needed.

The Mode Selection and Waiver Request window is open until November 17. Please click here for detailed guidance on completing these tasks in preparation for Spring 2018 testing. The Waiver Request Form for Spring 2018 Online Testing can be accessed here.
