Assessment
Spring 2017 ISTEP+ Response Analysis Follow-upThe Office of Assessment receives response analysis data annually. As part of monitoring to ensure sound administration practices, a small number of corporations are asked to review data related to response changes. This process is in place to ensure the test sessions represent valid attempts. The process is highlighted in this memo.

iOS 11 Update: The Department is working closely with Pearson to resolve issues identified with the iOS11 update in advance of the Winter Retest and Spring administrations. Both successful delivery and contingency plans are identified in the case these issues go unresolved. If you have specific questions about your school or corporation's delivery, please contact Jennifer Woo

ISTAR DOE-TL Upload: The DOE-TL for ISTAR (Period 1-IT) collection is open October 16-27. The collection windows close at 4:00 p.m. EST on the last day of the window. As a reminder, the 2018 DOE-TL layout is available for download in the IDOE – Data Collection community in Learning Connection. Please refer to page 6 of the DOE-TL layout for a list of Accommodations Codes and specific information for assigning these codes for each test administration. Detailed guidance regarding test accommodations is available in the Assessment Program Manual, Appendix E. Questions may be directed to the STN Application Center or the Office of Student Assessment.

21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) Cohort 9 RFP:
The 21st CCLC Cohort 9 RFP is now available here. Intent to apply forms (RFP, page 3) are due November 1. Proposals are due by December 15, via the online submission form. For questions regarding the RFP or 21st CCLC programming, please contact us.

Office of Educator Effectiveness
Teacher Appreciation Grant (TAG) policies were due September 15. The Office of Educator Effectiveness previously sent TAG Policy approval memos, requests for edits, and reminder calls for submission to all local educational agencies. School corporations should submit questions and policies here. Charter schools should submit here. Please note, failure to submit TAG polices by October 27 will result in LEAs, including charter schools, not being eligible for TAG funding.

Office of eLearning
The Hoosier Student Digital Leaders Program (HSDL) has partnered with Concord Community Schools to offer the “EMP! Empower Makers with a Purpose” Conference. This regional event is for students grades 5-12. Register your district team of up to five students for the November 16 event. Space is limited. Details and registration can be found here.

Perkins Reserve Fund Competitive Grants
Perkins Reserve Fund Competitive Grants are awarded to eligible secondary recipients to support projects focused on development, improvement and/or expansion of CTE programs that meet the guidelines outlined in the Carl D. Perkins Act of 2006. These programs address local, regional, or statewide workforce development needs in high skill, high wage, or high demand occupations in critical or emerging industries. Click here to view the invitation.
