The Office of Student Assessment requests nominations for the RFP Review Committee for ILEARN. You are invited to nominate educators, building-level administrators, technology directors, corporation test coordinators, and superintendents to serve as participants on the ILEARN RFP Review Committee. Please submit nominations no later than Friday, July 28, 2017.

IDOE Releases RFP for ISTEP+ Replacement Test
Indiana State Board of Education Holds July Board Meeting

ILEARN RFP Vendor Applications
The ILEARN RFP is available for potential vendors to apply. The mission of ILEARN’s RFP is to secure a qualified testing vendor to develop and administer the ILEARN assessment. The selected testing vendor will be responsible for ensuring successful delivery of computer-adaptive forms consisting of items aligned to Indiana Academic Standards. The development of test blueprints and items critical to assessment development will occur within the first few months of the ILEARN contract. Educators will be recruited to make certain the assessment aligns with the priorities of daily instruction. Representatives from IDOE, the State Board of Education, and school corporations will review and evaluate proposals in early fall.

Fall Teacher and Community Meetings
Dr. McCormick will be hosting a Teacher and Community Meeting in each congressional district this fall. Please share the Save the Date invite with the educators and community members in your school district. Locations and RSVP links will be coming soon.

Location information and RSVP links for Dr. McCormick's upcoming Fall 2017 Regional IDOE Meetings for superintendents, principals, business officials, board members, and other leadership team members will be available in next week's Friday message. We are still in the process of finalizing locations.

Innovation Planning Grant
The Office of eLearning is pleased to announce the 2017-2018 Innovation Planning Grant awardees. The intent of these $30,000 grants is to incentivize the thoughtful and informed planning in public school corporations interested in creating or increasing the potential of digital learning in their classrooms. Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)
The first draft of Indiana's plan for ESSA is posted here. The public is invited to interact with and comment on the draft through July 20. Please share the link and information with your teams and stakeholders. 

Staff Performance Evaluation Plan Submission
Legal Standard 12 requires each public school corporation to provide a copy of its entire staff performance evaluation plan to the IDOE. The evaluation plan, which must include a Teacher Appreciation Grant (TAG) policy addendum, should be submitted online by September 15, 2017. Submissions must include a completed Evaluation Plan Submission Coversheet for the 2017-2018 school year. For additional information, please see this memo. Unused Instructional Facilitates 
All public school corporations must report unused instructional facilities as part of their DOE Master File. Submission for the report starts July 11, 2017 and ends August 1, 2017. Please see this memo for more detailed information.
