Updated Information on Missing Children & Missing Endangered Adults
The process for reporting the lack of a student's birth certificate or proof of age to the Indiana State Police Clearinghouse for Information on Missing Children & Missing Endangered Adults is now updated. Please see the attached memo for more information.

Office of eLearning
The Office of eLearning is pleased to announce the opening of the 2017-2018 Innovation Planning Grant application. The intent of this grant is to incentivize the thoughtful and informed planning in public school corporations interested in creating or increasing the potential of digital learning in their classrooms. We anticipate awarding grants up to $30,000 each to districts that completed the 2017 Indiana Tech Plan and indicated they are studying or creating a 1:1. Any district that already received an Innovation Planning Grant may not apply for this grant. Applications must be submitted before 4 P.M. EDT on Friday, May 26, 2017. We will notify applicants with our decision on June 2, 2017. Visit here for more information. 

Title Grants and Support
The Office of English Learning and Migrant Education released this memo to reiterate the Department's commitment to support all LEAs in administering the annual work survey to identify migrant students. Please review the memo and the updated version of the work survey that complies with ESSA regulations. This survey must be administered to ALL children enrolled in the district every year.  

Reminder to sign up for the 2017 Federal Programs Administrator Workshops that take place on May 23 (South Bend), May 25 (Plainfield), May 30 (Indianapolis) and June 1 (Bloomington).The Office of Title Grants and Support will provide professional development regarding Title I updates, allowable activities, nonpublic schools, Title II and more. 

Early Childhood Development
IDOE will host a full day session for principals leading early childhood programs on June 19, 2017 at the Wayne Township Preschool. Details and registration information can be found in the attached flyer.

Office of Special Education
The Office of Special Education publishes a biweekly newsletter filled with updates and information about special education. Take a look at this link for the latest news from OSE. 

Indiana Teacher of the Year 
The 2018 Indiana Teacher of the Year (INTOY) application is now available. Applications are due on July 1, 2017. New for 2018: the IDOE is excited to announce that districts are invited to submit both an elementary and secondary candidate!
