WVCF Teams Up with Team of Mercy

Carlisle, Ind
.- Staff from the Wabash Valley Correctional Facility (WVCF) participated in the Surviving the Color Run.  Team of Mercy hosts the event each year to help raise funds to provide assistance to the loved ones of those who have attempted or completed suicide.  WVCF donated a $1,000 to show the facility's support for what Team of Mercy does on a daily basis for survivors.

WVCF Unit Team Manager Katie Fischer said, "This was the second year that the facility participated in the Team of Mercy Color Run.  Several of us have been touched by suicide in one way or another, and the run gives us time to remember the lives of those that we have lost.  It also helps those going through dark times to see that there are people who care, and that help is out there."
