Officer Lovett Retirees After Three Decades of Service

Greencastle, Ind. - Today marked the last day of service for Paul Lovett, whose career spanned nearly 31 years at the Putnamville Correctional Facility (PCF).

Paul Lovett is a third generation correctional officer whose grandfather came to PCF after World War II, as well as his step-father and his mother who held the rank of Sergeant at PCF.

When asked about his career and retirement plans, Paul commented, “When I reflect on my years, I can truly say I worked with some of the best people I’ve ever met. I enjoyed teaching new staff and being able to pass on things I had to learn the hard way. Now, I’m looking forward to working at the local Rural King and using the skills I learned here to help people at the store."

Staff at the Putnamville offered Paul well wishes in his retirement and showed their appreciation for his years of dedicated service with a retirement cake and special awards at a reception earlier this afternoon.
