Donates $500 to Animal Protection League
Pendleton, Ind. – The Correctional Industrial Facility (CIF) recently donated $500 to the Animal Protection League (APL) of Anderson. This latest donation continues a years long partnership with APL dating back to 2008 when CIF received their first six dogs. Now, CIF is home to 42 cats and 15 dogs and has facilitated over 250 adoptions since 2008.
“Our animal programs are a point of pride for our offenders and staff.", said Deputy Warden Delana Gardner. "We hope to continue our partnership with APL for many more years to come.”
Since 2011, APL has partnered with the City of Anderson to manage operations of their animal shelter. Their goal is to provide a compassionate humane community to celebrate the human animal connection.
