WVCF Family Members Receive
CPAFI Scholarships
Carlisle, Ind. - The family members of two correctional staff members at Wabash Valley Correctional Facility (WVCF) are furthering their education with the assistance of the Correctional Professionals Assistance Fund of Indiana (CPAFI). Executive Director Richard Brown and Warden Vanihel presented the awards to the recipients.
Warden Vanihel said, "I'm thankful that CPAFI is there to help meet the needs of our employees and their families. All that CPAFI does is made possible through the generosity of our staff. Their donations to CPAFI through the State Employees Community Campaign ensures funds are available for their fellow staff when needed."

Heather Nichols, wife of Correctional Sergeant Shadrak Nichols, was presented a CPAFI scholarship in the amount of $2,000 for school supplies. Heather is attending Indiana Wesleyan University where she is pursuing a degree in Accounting. |
Terra Orndorff, wife of Aramark Assistant Food Supervisor Farley Orndorff, was also presented a CPAFI scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to be applied towards her degree. Terra is attending Ivy Tech College where she is pursuing a degree in Business Operations, Administration & Technology. |
