Wabash Valley Correctional Facility Maintenance Staff Receive "Hats Off" Award
Carlisle, Ind. - Indiana Department of Correction (IDOC) facilities were challenged by Commissioner Carter to identify employees that demonstrate not only a dedication and passion for their own contribution to the facility, but also a desire to ignite the passion of their fellow employees, all while maintaining a positive attitude and a team spirit. Maintenance employees were asked to nominate anyone they felt met the definition of a "Hats Off" employee. HATS being an acronym for Heart, Attitude, Team, and Spark.
At Wabash Valley Correctional Facility (WVCF) Physical Plant Director Greg Eaton nominated Electronics Technician Adam Glenn and Maintenance Foreman Kris Walters.
Acting Warden Littlejohn commented about what it means to the facility to have employees like Adam Glenn and Kris Walters. "Anyone can come to work every day and do the bare minimum to meet their job requirements, but staff who are willing to step up and do what they can to resolve issues and help their fellow staff members are to be commended."
Physical Plant Director Eaton's nomination for Electronics Technician A. Glenn read: "Adam helps the maintenance foremen with troubleshooting everything from doors, to lighting, to gate systems. He repairs circuit boards for their equipment. He repairs lock sets for the lock shop. He helped Jennifer Gardner with an issue with the GTL tablets in JHU. He verified the fiber optic backbone leading to JHU was intact and communicating and then isolated the issue to the network switch in the building, which he replaced for Jennifer Gardner." |
