Indianapolis, Ind.- Indiana Women’s Prison (IWP) Warden Laurie Johnson is pleased to announce the promotion of Brandon Fugate.

Brandon began his career in the Indiana Department of Correction at Putnamville Correctional Facility in 2007. He is a certified instructor for security skills and personal protection training. He is certified in Quick Response Team, Field Training Officer, and has served as Sexual Assault Response Team member.

He has served the Department of Correction for 12.5 years working as a correctional officer in medium security adult male facilities, Putnamville Correctional Facility and Plainfield Correctional Facility, prior to promoting to correctional sergeant and transferring to maximum security adult female population at Indiana Women's Prison.

Sergeant Fugate commented, "My daily motivation is to train staff and contribute to our mission of ensuring professionalism and effective practices."
