Miami Correctional Facility Fighting Against COVID19

Bunker Hill, Ind. –The staff and offenders at Miami Correctional Facility (MCF) are working together to fight the spread of COVID19. MCF has cleaning crews with both staff and offenders working around the clock. They are sanitizing door handles and other commonly used items. MCF's staff and offender population, at all times, are utilizing Personal Protection Equipment (PPE). Hand sanitizer has been made available to all MCF offenders and staff. Soap is also being made available to the offender population and replenished often. The commitment of staff and offenders is working and we will continue be vigilant to protect each other during this time.

Warden Bill Hyatte commented: “The staff and the men incarcerated at MCF are doing a phenomenal job of keeping the facility clean. We are meeting this challenge and we will beet this together. I want to thank everyone for their teamwork.”
