Participates In Polar Plunge
Pendleton, Ind.-- The Correctional Industrial Facility (CIF) recently participated in the 2020 Polar Plunge to benefit the Special Olympics of Indiana. Team CIF gathered in Muncie at the Ball State University campus before jumping into the frigid waters. At least ten members of the team jumped while the others cheered them on. Deputy Warden Andrew Cole stayed in the water until the whole team had taken the plunge.
CIF was congratulated by Special Olympics for the $1852 they raised; they were extremely grateful for CIF’s participation. Deputy Warden Andrew Cole who braved the plunge commented, “The water was definitely cold, but I am glad we participated as we were definitely 'Freezin’ for a Reason!' The whole CIF team is looking forward to participating again in the future."
This year, CIF won the award for best costume with their Harry Potter themed team.
