As we approach the end of this swiftly passing year, I sincerely hope you had a memorable year filled with cherished moments shared among family and friends. These occasions serve as poignant reminders of the importance of connection and gratitude.
In recent months, my focus has been on identifying essential equipment and the needs of ingestion pathway counties. Collaborating closely with FEMA, IDHS has worked to align agency standards with the latest protocols to boost preparedness for any radiological emergency. This collaborative effort underscores your commitment and resilience throughout the year.
I want to express my profound appreciation for the collective hard work and dedication that has defined our collaborative efforts. Your tireless contributions have not gone unnoticed, and I feel genuinely fortunate to have been welcomed with open arms during my first year as the Radiological Emergency Preparedness Coordinator.
As 2024 draws closer, I want to extend my warmest wishes for a safe and happy holiday season. I eagerly anticipate the opportunities the coming year holds for us to continue working together toward our shared goals.
