Carmel Utilities to upgrade water meters in city-wide replacement project
Carmel Utilities has begun replacing aging water meters across the community with new, enhanced equipment allowing for more accurate readings and better water efficiency.
In the next few weeks our Carmel Utilities & Envocore - RTS Water Solutions install teams are scheduled to be in the following neighborhoods: Foster Estates Smokey Hollow Smokey Ridge

Carmel Mayor's Youth Council podcast with Ron Carter

Carter is currently the president of the Carmel's Farmers Market and served on Carmel's City Council for 24 years. A big weekend ahead!
Watch art created before your very eyes at the Carmel on Canvas Plein Air event – an open-air painting exhibition and competition on the sidewalks throughout the Carmel Arts & Design District, Midtown, Carmel City Center and the Carmel Japanese Garden. More than three dozen artists from the around the country will be featured at the event, which is free to spectators and runs September 17-19.

Traffic and construction news
WALNUT STREET & RANGE LINE ROAD ROUNDABOUT Roundabout #140 is now open to traffic! Come join us for a celebration on Wednesday, September 22 at 3:30 p.m. west of the intersection on Walnut Street. Please use caution in the area as crews continue to work on Range Line Road improvements.
111th STREET & COLLEGE AVENUE ROUNDABOUT Construction of this new roundabout will begin on or after September 27 with an expected 45-day closure.
DUKE TRANSMISSION - VETERANS WAY On or after September 20, the Duke Transmission line project will continue on Veterans Way between W. Elm Street and Main Street. Expect full closures of Veterans Way, block by block, throughout the next couple of months starting with the section between Elm and 1st Street. Then, on or after September 27, there will be a full closure of the intersection at 1st Street SW and Veterans Way, which will last approximately 75 days.

FROM HAMILTON COUNTY HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT 116TH STREET OVER WHITE RIVER Please be advised, beginning on or after Monday, September 20, lane closures will be in effect for 116th Street between River Road and Eller Road for the rehabilitation of Bridge No. 160: 116th Street over the West Fork White River. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times on 116th Street throughout construction. Lane closures are expected to be lifted by Tuesday, November 9. 146th STREET OVER US 31 Beginning at 9 p.m. or after on Sunday, September 19, one lane at a time along 146th Street at the US 31 overpass will be restricted for spot pavement grinding. The estimated project completion time is by 6 a.m. on Monday, September 20.

Carmel Youth Assistance Program sheds light on mental health with prevention education
The Trinity Free Clinic and Hamilton County Health Department are offering a Suicide Prevention Education session later this month in observance of Suicide Prevention Awareness Month and to help provide resources for those in need. If you or someone you know is in an emergency, call The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-TALK (8255) or call 911 immediately.

Head to Midtown Plaza for Allied Solutions' Movies at Midtown! Movies will run on Mondays from May through October. Movie showing times are noon, 3 and 6 p.m.
