Creative entrepreneurs complete On-Ramp workshop

Thirty-four Hoosier artists participated in the second annual On-Ramp accelerator workshop for early career creative entrepreneurs. The three-day workshop, led by Elaine Grogan Luttrull, was held in Nashville, Indiana and focused on developing business skills, career goals, and community engagement learning.

Those completing the course are eligible for the On-Ramp Fellowship, which includes up to $2,000 of artist career project funding. The funding opportunity will help On-Ramp participants take what they learned from the workshop and put it into practice to help advance their careers.

Nominate a Featured Artist for 2020 Art & Soul

Art & Soul celebrates empowerment through the arts and recognizes over 100 Indianapolis area African-American artists. In February 2020, the Arts Council of Indianapolis will host the 24th Annual Art & Soul celebration at the Indianapolis Arts Garden. Each year, four artists are chosen to be Featured Artists throughout the month.

An Art & Soul Featured Artist is an African-American artist who is professionally unrecognized, but stylistically evolved. Nominees will be evaluated based on the overall excellence of the artist's work and demonstration of exceptional talent; the artist's commitment to professional growth and their artform; and the artist's ability to contribute to meeting the goals for Art & Soul and enhancing the year's theme for the program.
