2018 On-Ramp Cohort in Madison, Indiana (IAC Photo)
Thirty-six Hoosiers participated in the IAC's inaugural three-day On-Ramp course workshop May 17 - 19, 2018, led by Elaine Grogan Luttrull in Madison, Indiana's state designated Arts and Cultural District. The course focused on developing skills, career goals, and community engagement learning to help early career artists ramp up their entrepreneurial journey and move faster toward their business goals. "Because of Elaine Grogan Luttrull's modules and everyone's input, I feel confident saying 'I'm an artist'," said West Lafayette illustrator Bethany Hohman. Check out this video to learn more.
Chris Mack, a Hip-hop artist from Muncie, Indiana is but one example of the early career Hoosier talent determined to be not only a successful artist, but forge a stronger business foundation for his career. He says he could be doing Hip-hop in Miami or Atlanta, but as he told Muncie CrossFit, he is "invested" where he is and wants to give something back. Learn more about this creative entrepreneur.
A few open spots remain for the June 29, 2018 Community Canvas Workshop on public art.
