IARA County/Local Records Management - What's the volume?

Hi County/Local Agencies,
When filling out the SF44905 or Notice of Destruction form, under the Record Series Information, you will notice the last column says, Volume.
What exactly does the form mean by Volume?
The Volume column lets IARA know the "number of boxes, rolls, etc." of scheduled records you are requesting to destroy. Basically, what form the record exists in (example: microfilm rolls, boxes of paper, electronic data, a file folder), and how much there is of it (example: 3 microfilm rolls, 10 boxes, 600 megabytes of data, 4 folders.)
Make sure to include the type of container/format if the information is available. IARA is not going to deny or reject a Notice of Destruction form if the volume column doesn't include "boxes" or "rolls" after the numbers - we'll assume it's boxes unless you specify otherwise - but it's helpful information to preserve for reference, and for IARA as we review your requests.
