IARA County/Local Records Management - 2020 Updated Forms/Schedules

Hi, County/Local Agencies:

I've had several agencies unaware of recent updates to various IARA retention schedules and forms.

IARA is always working to simplify and improve the retention schedules for your offices and agencies.

Most recently in summer 2020, the County/Local General (GEN) retention schedule, the SF44905 Notice of Destruction form, the SF30505 PR-1 form, were updated. Make sure to read instructions on the Notice of Destruction and PR-1 forms carefully.

At the end of the GEN schedule on the last two pages, there is an Updates Guide to help you maneuver the many record series that were deactivated, changed, or had language updates. See example below:
