Experienced police officers: Apply for lateral transfer by April 20

Grow your law enforcement career in one of Illinois' fastest-growing communities. The Oswego Police Department is looking for experienced police officers to join our team through a Lateral Transfer Police Officer Eligibility List.

Applicants must already be Certified as Illinois Law Enforcement Officers, have at least two years’ experience, and be in good standing in the police department in which the applicant serves or in laid-off status due to financial restraints. 

The Village of Oswego offers an excellent benefits package including 13 paid holidays annually, vacation, sick and personal time, police pension, medical, dental, vision, life insurance and more. We also offer 12-hour shifts with every other weekend off. The salary range for lateral transfer candidates is $76,274.43 to $80,469.53 with a top out of $101,406.69.
