Flooding Conditions Status Update
Lake County Stormwater Management Commission’s Flood Threat Alert Status remains Orange, which signals the county is no longer experiencing major flooding. With dry weather in the forecast for the remainder of the week, this should help high river levels continue to slowly lower and recover.
We’re still monitoring river levels and will continue to provide updates and details as they’re available.
Fox River & Chain O’Lakes Area
The Upper Fox River and Chain O’Lakes area has dropped to Minor Flood status. The Lower Fox River in the Barrington area is in Moderate Flood status. The Fox River and Chain O’Lakes are slowly lowering, but could remain high for another week or two.
There continues to be a threat of flood impacts to businesses and properties in these areas. Please stay alert if you’re located in a flood-prone area.
