New Image, Same Great Service
The Job Center and Lake County Workforce Development are excited to unveil a fresh image and a new, comprehensive communications and outreach program. As will you notice over the coming months, we now have a streamlined brand, a fully refreshed, customer-focused website presence, and an updated suite of collateral. Additionally, you will begin to see our new brand being rolled out across our social media accounts.
We look forward to continuing to provide the same great service you have come to appreciate, but now with an increased focus on job seekers and employers and a more unified approach to our outreach efforts.

Stanislav, a refugee from the Ukraine, was determined to find a career and work toward financial independence to help his wife and son immigrate to the U.S. He quickly identified truck driving as a desirable career and connected with Lake County Workforce Development to pursue his goal. Stanislav completed his training in eight weeks, passed the state exam, and is now gainfully employed as a long-haul truck driver, hauling new cars all across the U.S.

5th Annual Lake County Job and Resource Fair for Individuals with Disabilities
The 5th Annual Lake County Job and Resource Fair for Individuals with Disabilities was held at the Waukegan Public Library. The event connected 12 employers and community organizations with more than 100 job seekers who have a disability or their support teams.
This event is a collaboration between three community organizations and includes information on supportive services in the areas of transportation, mental health, finances, and job coaching. The planning team appreciated that employers attended who were aware of their audience and available accommodations. This event has been instrumental in assisting individuals successfully find a job.
The Job and Resource Fair was hosted in partnership with the Illinois Department of Human Services - Division of Rehabilitation Services, Illinois Department of Employment Security, and Lake County Workforce Development.
