 Dear Healthcare Provider,
Tick-borne diseases are increasing in Lake County. Healthcare providers practicing in primary and urgent/acute care settings are likely to encounter tick-borne illnesses in their practice. A team at the University of Illinois is surveying healthcare providers to assess the knowledge and practices related to tick-borne diseases and develop Illinois-specific continuing medical education units (CMEs).
It would be valuable to have Lake County providers represented and education efforts tailored to our needs.
Please complete the 10-minute survey, Tick and Tick-Borne Disease Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices, and share with other providers. Responses are confidential.
Please call the Lake County Health Department Communicable Disease program at 847-377-8130 to report cases of tick-borne or mosquito-borne diseases to the Environmental Health program at 847-377-8009 with questions about tick identification and prevention.
