COVID-19 PROTOCOLS AND GUIDELINES FOR ELECTION WORKERS

Dear Subscriber,

To prepare our election judges for the upcoming April 6, 2021 election, we are attaching an informational booklet providing guidance relating to COVID-19 protocols in the polling place.

We have received many questions regarding Election Judges' status for receiving the vaccine. Our office is, unfortunately, not in a position nor do we have the jurisdiction to expedite receipt of said vaccine. Under the current U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency guidelines, election workers are classified in category 1B. We recommend that you seek the vaccine from any and all available providers.  For further information, please visit the Lake County Health Department's Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) webpage

Should you have questions or concerns regarding COVID-19, you may contact the Lake County Clerk's COVID-19 Safety & Compliance Officer, Brandon Fuchs at bfuchs@lakecountyil.gov or 847-377-2421. Any questions relating to your assignment or your service as an election judge may be directed to the Election Judge Department at ElectionJudge@lakecountyil.gov or 847-377-2408.

Your health and safety are important to us, please stay well!

Very truly yours,
