Are you ready for the April 2, 2019 Consolidated Election?

WAUKEGAN, Illinois – If you want to vote in the April election, you must be registered with your correct name and Lake County physical street address. Log on to LakeVoterPower.info or call the Lake County Clerk’s Voter Services Department at 847.377.2410 to confirm your record is current and up-to-date.

If you need to update your record or register for the first time, voter registration is open now and is conveniently available online, in-person at many locations around the county, or by mail.

Online voter registration is offered through the Illinois State Board of Elections’ website (https://ova.elections.il.gov) until March 17. You must have a valid Illinois driver’s license or state identification card to complete the online form.

In-person registration with a deputy registrar is available until March 5 at most municipal, township, and library facilities or at the Lake County Clerk’s office, 18 N. County Street, Waukegan, weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. List of locations.

A printable mail-in registration form is available online at the Lake County Clerk’s website. The completed form must be postmarked or delivered to the Lake County Clerk’s office by close of business on March 5. The mail-in form must be accompanied by a copy of your valid State of Illinois driver’s license or state ID.

Each applicant must be a United States citizen, 18 years of age by Election Day, and meet a 30-day Lake County residency requirement. Two forms of valid identification must be presented at the time of registration. You can register if you are 17 years old and celebrate your 18th birthday on or before April 2, 2019.
