WAUKEGAN, Illinois – Despite fast approaching deadlines, Lake County residents still have several opportunities to register for the first time or update an existing record before the November 6th Election.
Online registration is available until October 21 through the Illinois State Board of Elections website (https://ova.elections.il.gov). An Illinois driver’s license or state identification card is required.
Early voting sites will be open and offer Grace Registration from October 22 to November 5. Just for early voting, you can use any voting site regardless of where you live. The hours and dates vary at the sixteen early voting sites.
Grace voter registration is available at the Clerk’s office, 18 N. County Street, Waukegan on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. until October 19.
For Grace Registration on Election Day, citizens must go to the voting site assigned to serve their address.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens, residents of their precinct for 30 days before Election Day, 18 years old on or before the general election, provide two forms of valid identification (one must show physical street address), and vote at the same time as registration.
