A public lottery was held in the lobby of the Lake County Courthouse and Administrative Complex to determine the order of the political parties on November's ballot. Brian McClain, Lake County Facility Operations, drew from our patriotic basket to determine which party will be listed first. Watch the video.

At the hands-on session held at the Lake County Center for Independent Living in Mundelein, attendees were able to practice using the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant ballot-marking devices to vote for their favorite sport, color, and ice cream. The ballot-marking system allows voters who are visually or physically impaired to mark a ballot unassisted by using the equipment's audio, touch-screen, or braille features.
Lake County Center for Independent Living, serves Lake and McHenry residents and ensures that all people with disabilities have the tools they need to live independently.
Many senior fair visitors stopped at our table to inquire about our services and sign an Honor Flight mail-call postcard. Zion Township, Benton Township, Zion Park District, and The Grove at the Lake organized this event so agencies may showcase their services to area seniors.
