Choose to Vote by Mail For March Primary

WAUKEGAN, Illinois – Severe winter weather could prevent you from going to your voting site on Election Day. County Clerk Carla N. Wyckoff is encouraging Lake County registered voters to vote by mail, including students away at school, traveling snowbirds, and those who will be out of town on Election Day. This option allows any registered voter to receive and mark a ballot from the comfort of his or her own home or have a ballot sent to a temporary alternate address.

It's simple to vote by mail. Complete the short, required application form and return it to the Clerk’s office before noon on Thursday, March 15.

Applications are available by

Pending state certification of the candidates, ballots will be printed and mailed beginning
February 8. You only have to walk as far as your mailbox for your ballot and vote from the comfort of your own couch.

Mail your voted ballot back to the Clerk’s office with a postmark no later than midnight on Election Day, March 20. You can track the Clerk’s receipt of your ballot at LakeVoterPower.info using the “Track My Ballot” feature.
