Significant Threat of Localized Flooding/Flash Flooding

The weekend calls for an enhanced risk of severe storms overnight Friday and into Saturday that may produce damaging winds and torrential rainfall. The three-day forecast shows a total of two to three inches of rain across Lake County and southeast Wisconsin over the upper Des Plaines and Fox River watersheds.

As a result, there is a significant threat of localized flooding/flash flooding, and the potential for increased river levels. The Des Plaines River, Fox River and Chain O'Lakes are projected to be impacted by these storms. View Flood Safety Tips

High winds may cause tree limbs to fall and damage power lines, increasing the chance of power outages. Please report any outages to ComEd at ComEd.com/Report or by calling 1-800-334-7661.
