Need to find a voting site to register?

WAUKEGAN, Illinois – Voter registration with a deputy registrar closed on March 7 for the April election. Those Lake County residents who still need to update their record or register for the first time may find a voting site offering grace voter registration by visiting LakeCountyClerk.info and clicking on the “April 4 Consolidated” icon.

Early voting sites are open from March 20 to April 3, and some locations offer extended evening and weekend hours. Lake County residents may use any early voting site regardless of where they live. On April 4, Election Day voters must go to their assigned voting site to grace register and vote.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens, residents of their precinct for 30 days before Election Day, 18 years old on or before the general election, provide two forms of valid identification, and vote at the time of registration.

Grace voter registration is also offered at the Clerk’s office until March 17 during regular weekday business hours and on Election Day from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Registrants will complete an application to receive a ballot by mail as March 20th is the first day April’s printed ballots will be available.
