8 Ways to Celebrate #WeLoveEvanston Day Tomorrow

The City of Evanston is proud to announce Saturday, March 7 as “We Love Evanston Day.” The day has been created as a way to bring community members together to enjoy everything Evanston has to offer while celebrating the city’s participation in the World Wildlife Fund’s We Love Cities Challenge. Here's a list of 8 great ways to celebrate your City tomorrow for We Love Evanston Day:

1.) Get Your Fitness on at a Free Barre Code Class

2.) Indulge in Some Retail Therapy

Many local businesses are offering deals and specials in honor of #WeLoveEvanston Day, including Becky & Me Toys, Envy, Stumble & Relish, Gigi Bottega, Dragonfly, Lollie, Relish, Hewn, Doc Popcorn, and more. View a list of deals here >>>

3.) Snap a Selfie with Willie the Wildkit at Little Beans Cafe

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., families that visit Little Beans Café, located at 430 Asbury Ave., will get to meet, play and take photos with ETHS’s mascot, Willie the Wildkit. Be sure to share your photos on Twitter/Instagram using #WeLoveEvanston.

4.) Tour Evanston's Newest Brewery & Taste Local Brews

Sketchbook Brewing (825 Chicago Ave. - alley entrance) is offering three FREE tours--at noon, 2 pm and 4 pm.

Smylie Bros. (1615 Oak St.) is showing their love for Evanston with the new "1972"cocktail. The drink is a take on the "French 75," but named after the year Evanston started allowing alcohol sales. The mix of Evanston's own Few gin, lemon juice, champagne and Smylie Bros. Farmhouse Ale is sure to quench your thirst and leave you refreshed.

7.) Create an Evanston-themed Masterpiece at Bottle & Bottega

Adults age 18 and older are invited to sign up for Bottle & Bottega's special "We Love Evanston Day" event. Show your love by painting images depicting reasons why we love our amazing city! The event is BYOB for adults 21 and older. Tickets are $35 and include all materials required. Register >>>
