 Join the fun while helping various organizations throughout the
city as part of the United Way Evanston Day of Caring volunteer event on
Sat., Oct. 25, 2014, from 8:30 a.m. to noon. This event is a part of USA WEEKEND Magazine’s “Make a Difference Day.”
Volunteers
of all ages are encouraged to sign up for one of the many projects available
that day to assist our community and Evanston organizations, such as District
65, Y.O.U., Connections for the Homeless, and the City of Evanston.

The Evanston Green Living Festival is an event presented by the Evanston Environmental Association (EEA) and the City of Evanston. The festival is held to present products, ideas and services that will help attendees lower their carbon footprint.

 Services for Adults Staying in their Homes (SASI) is looking for three volunteers to help assist with their annual gala benefit, The Ruby Slipper, on Sat., Oct. 18 at the Evanston Golf Club.

 The City of Evanston's Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Division is looking for volunteers to assist with the inaugural Zombie Scramble on Sat., Nov. 1 at the Evanston Ecology Center. Volunteer times vary between 2 p.m. and 11 p.m.
The Zombie Scramble is a family friendly race where participants attempt to finish a 2-mile (family wave) or 4-mile (adult only) race with all of their "lives" intact. Register >>>
