Free Program: "Quality Medical Care: How to Get It"

The Evanston Commission on Aging will present a free program, "Quality Medical Care: How to Get It." The program will feature speakers Eric Parker and Victoria Braund, MD. Parker is an attorney with the Chicago law firm of Stotis & Baird who practices elder law and personal injury law. He is an Evanston resident and a former member of the Evanston Commission on Aging. Dr. Braund is the Director of the Division of Geriatric Medicine at NorthShore University HealthSystem. She maintains an active clinical practice and teaches Geriatrics. She is also medical director of Mather Lifeways in Evanston.

Refreshments and door prizes will be provided. The program is graciously co-sponsored by the North Shore Village and the Foster Senior Club.

Meet the Evanston Public Library Director

Karen Danczak Lyons is the director of the Evanston Public Library. She'll visit the Levy Senior Center to talk about the services available at the library. If you have questions or concerns about the library, Karen is just the person to help you out. Refreshments will be served. You'll also be able to register for an Evanston Library card. Please bring proof of residency.


The Choraleers Celebrate 30 Years!

Join us as we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Levy Senior Center Choraleers. There will be music, memories and munchies. Don’t miss this great trip down memory lane. This program is sponsored by the Levy Senior Center Foundation. There is no charge, but registration is required! If you know of any retired Choraleers who might want to participate, please have them call the Levy Center at 847-448-8250 and leave a message for Gunner Forrest.


Enjoy a Trip to the Art Institute!

The Levy Senior Center Foundation bought two group memberships for the Art Institute, which will be used by our various art classes and by the membership in general. The bus will take a group of Levy members to the Institute on Tuesday, Sept. 23. The trip is open to the first 11 people who sign up at the Center’s front desk. Class #554104J4.


Review the Rules of the Road

This free class, offered by the Illinois Secretary of State’s office, includes a review of safe driving techniques and Illinois driving laws to help you prepare to take the written drivers’ test. Please register at the Levy Center front desk.
