The City of Evanston provides a 50% discount off
the cost of one City vehicle sticker per household to Evanston income-eligible
seniors over the age of 65 and residents who qualify for Illinois Circuit
Breaker due to disability. Stickers must be purchased by December 14 and
displayed by January 1.
There will be a free informative demonstration of Tai Chi for
Older Adults and People with Arthritis at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 8 at
the Levy Center. Come experience the
slow, gentle movements of a tai chi form adapted from the Sun Style.
 Learn how to properly dispose of medicines at 10:30 a.m. on
Wednesday, January 9 at the Levy Center. As Commissioner of Metropolitan Water
Reclamation District of Greater Chicago, Mariyana T. Spyropoulos, is currently
the Vice Chair of Public Health & Welfare Committee. She will speak about
the vast array of pharmaceuticals found in our waterways and the proper
disposal methods for expired or extra medicines.

Enjoy ballroom dancing with the Dick Elliot Band at 1:00 p.m.
on January 11. The fee is $5.00 at the door.
 The
Fran Randall Memorial Concert at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 18 will feature performers
from the Chicago Academy of Arts. Musical Director, Pat Rusk will bring
talented high school students to the Levy Center to perform musical theatre and
cabaret numbers. The concert series is underwritten by the Levy Senior Center
Foundation. Refreshments will follow the concert. Admission is free.
