Noyes at Noyes exhibit opens Sunday, Nov. 18

A free opening reception for the exhibition, No Relation, featuring mixed media artwork by Chicago artist Connie Noyes, will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 18, at the Noyes Cultural Arts Center, 927 Noyes St. in Evanston.  Refreshments will be served.

Working in multiple formats and media, Noyes is an original with a unique vision grounded in her distinctive imagination. Whether she is painting, photographing or constructing, Noyes is inspired by the irregular shapes and lines that dance through her mind's eye.

Free drawing workshops, Nov. 28 & Dec. 2

The City of Evanston is offering two free drawing workshops led by artist Rebecca George, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 28, and from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 2, in room 106 at the Noyes Cultural Arts Center, 927 Noyes St.

This observational drawing workshop focuses on developing the skills for quick and accurate rendering from observation.  All materials are provided at no cost.
