Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with EPL!
Hispanic Heritage Month runs September 15 through October 15, and the Evanston Public Library is celebrating with events and programs both at the library and throughout Evanston – support a small business, go on a scavenger hunt, play games with the family, make crafts for all ages, and so much more at the Library.
Stop by either the Robert Crown Branch Library or the Main Library beginning Friday, Sept. 23, and pick up a punch card of local Hispanic/Latinx-owned businesses to visit for a chance to win a $25 gift card. Send the kids on an around the world scavenger hunt of their own through the library with Finn the Fox. Check out our 100% Hispanic, 100% American display at the Robert Crown Branch, grab a papel picado kit to take home with you, or come to a program to learn how to make your own michelada.
There's so much happening! For the full list of events, visit epl.org/hispanicheritagemonth.
Register to vote at the Library on Sept. 20!
Recently moved? Changed your name? Turned 18? Became a citizen? How exciting! Update your voter registration, and be ready to vote in the mid-term elections on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
Staff from the League of Women Voters and NAACP will be onsite at the Main Library, Robert Crown Branch Library, and Fleetwood-Jourdain Center to register new voters and update existing registered voters on National Voters Registration Day:
