Summer Youth Food Program Begins Monday

Summer camp kids


Free cold breakfasts and lunches will be available to youth ages 1 to 18 years old at eight locations throughout Evanston as part of the Summer Food Program, June 10 through August 16. Free meals are available to all youth, but meals must be eaten on site and parents must accompany young children.

We're Out Walking Kicks Off June 15!

We're Out Walking in parade


We're Out Walking (WOW) is a 12-week walking and health education campaign to promote health, wellness, community and physical activity for all. The 2019 program will kick off with local fitness vendors, motivational speakers and demonstrations on Sat., June 15, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at ETHS.

Enjoy live, outdoor music in Evanston this summer! The Main-Dempster Mile's Main Street Summer Concert Series begins this Fri., June 7, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., in Train Station Alley, 600 Main St.; Downtown Evanston's Thursday Night Live kicks off on Thurs., June 13, 7 p.m., in Fountain Square; and the City's Starlight Concert series continues on Tues., June 11, 7 p.m., at Bent Park, with Renaldo Domino with The Heavy Sounds.

Evanston businesses that take actions to reduce their environmental impact can receive support from the City as well as recognition for their efforts as part of Sustain Evanston, a new sustainable business recognition program.
