Kanopy Free Movie Streaming

Love movies? The Evanston Public Library is now offering free access to Kanopy, an all-movie streaming service. Kanopy brings more than 30,000 of the world's best films to stream on computers, tablets, and other mobile devices. EPL cardholders can sign up to start streaming three films a month instantly onto any computer, television, mobile device, or platform at the Kanopy website: kanopy.com. Celebrate Chinese New Year: Year of the Pig!

Chinese New Year Celebration. Year of the Pig. 带上你的家人一起来庆祝中国新年猪年吧。唱起新年歌曲,制作猪年主题工艺品,让我们的舞狮带着我们一起在图书馆一层新年巡游!供应茶水零食。Join us to sing Chinese New Year songs and do fun pig crafts. ETHS students will lead us in the New Year's parade with a Chinese Lion Dance throughout the library’s first floor. Chinese calligraphy, dragon masks, pig headbands and more! Tea and treats will be served. Saturday, February 2, 4 to 5:30 pm, Community Meeting Room, Main Library.

Winter Reading. Register your young child (ages 0 through 3) for Winter Reading. Get a reading log and begin recording each day that you read or talk about a book with your child. After fourteen days of reading, receive a prize book. Register online or in-person beginning February 1. February 1 to 28. All locations

Ned suddenly decides that he'd like to travel the eight miles back to his own home by simply swimming across every pool in town. Soon, Ned's journey becomes harrowing. Run Time: 95 minutes.
